Susan began drawing at an early age.  Under the guidance of her artist mother, a graduate of the Worcester Art Museum School, her imagination and creativity were encouraged.

Although she grew up in New England, Susan was awarded a scholarship to the Memphis College of Art in Tennessee where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.  Upon returning to the Boston area, she worked as a photographer, Graphic Designer and Art Director for over 30 years.

Ten years ago, she decided to pursue her love of painting.  She began studying and taking workshops with a number of well known Boston area painters.  For the past several years she has studied oil painting with Mark Hayden, a Copley Society Master from Bradford.

An award winning painter, Susan is a juried member of the North Shore Arts Association in Gloucester.  She is also a member of the Newburyport Art Association, the Reading Art Association, the Woburn Guild of Artists and the Lynnfield Art Guild.
